Sonara Camp is the first in the UAE to follow an eco-friendly, zero-waste philosophy, and the entire camp is powered by solar energy. Visitors can indulge in delicious desert cuisine while supporting eco-friendly practices that preserve the desert’s natural beauty.

What sets Sonara desert sunset experience apart from others is that it uses only ethically sourced materials and products are used. Visitors can enjoy various fun activities in addition to the food, and the entire experience typically lasts around four to five hours.

Sonara Camp Desert Sunset Tour Inclusions

• Start your adventure with a comfortable SUV pick-up from your Dubai hotel or residence.
• Enjoy a 75-minute drive to the Lahbab Desert, the biggest desert in the territory.
• Before dune bashing, the pressure in the tire will be adjusted for a better ride.
• Experience 45-55 minutes of thrilling dune bashing in the Lahbab Desert.
• Reach high dunes for a photo stop, and let your safari guide capture your picture-perfect moments.
• Take a 10-minute break to pump up the tires before heading to the desert camp.
• Drive for 25 minutes more to reach the Sonora Camp
• Watch the beautiful sunset views and participate in exciting activities like sandboarding, camel riding, hawk shows, soft archery, and live music at Sonara Camp.

About the Founder

Stephanie Reichenbach, the creator of Nara Desert Escape, is passionate about the desert and wants to offer an authentic, eco-friendly desert camp experience to everyone. She was inspired to create The Nest by Sonara, a unique overnight concept that encourages guests to embrace the tranquil and attentive concept of Desert Nesting.

Things to Know Before Going

• A booking confirmation will be sent once the reservation is made.
• Travelers with back problems are advised against this activity.
• People with significant medical problems, including heart issues, should not participate.
• Pregnant women are not permitted to join.
• Travelers should be in fair physical shape to take part in this activity.
• Good weather is essential for this experience, and if it is canceled due to bad weather, a full refund or an alternative day will be provided.
• This excursion is private, with only your group participating.
• Arrival times for sunset and dinner experiences vary depending on the season, with October to April arrival times ranging from 3:30 PM to 7 PM and May to September arrival times ranging from 5 PM to 8 PM.
• Camel rides from the gate to the camp are only available from 3:30 to 4:30 pm before dusk, with two riders per camel.
• The camp ends at 10:30 pm, and the trip takes six hours in total.

• Children need to pay the child rate for entry tickets.
• Adults need to pay in full to get the Sonara desert sunset experience.
